Adam E. Badenhorst, agreed. The evolution of the literary scene in response to the digital age is fascinating, and I don’t think it’s settled into a comfortable relationship yet. I often wonder, would Dostoyevsky join Twitter? Medium? Would Proust have started a blog?
And if they did, would they have optimized their titles/formatting for SEO? I’d like to think not, but who knows. Even Walt Whitman was an unabashed self-promoter.
